The Peter Hall School Foundation was established in December 2000 and began its philanthropic activities in 2001. Its mission is to enhance the work undertaken and led by Peter Hall School and to strengthen its financial standing. Thus, it provides educational, recreational, sports and cultural support.
The Foundation relies on the support of business volunteers to deliver its two annual fundraising events: a spring golf tournament, a wine and cheese event in the fall, and major fundraising campaigns. In addition, it obtains funding for specific, one-off projects, such as the purchase of equipment and adapted equipment.
The Foundation has also relied on the volunteer involvement of staff and families since it hosted its first-ever fundraising event in 2001. The Foundation is managed by a Board of Trustees of seven volunteer members who ensure the continuation of its activities. objectives and who see to its full development.
The Peter Hall School Foundation has donated more than $2,391,000 to Peter Hall School to finance the purchase of adapted equipment. Furthermore, the second major fundraising campaign, conducted between 2012 and 2017, was a great success, surpassing its objective of $ 2.5 million to reach $ 2,576,555. The increase in the cost of expanding the Côte-Vertu campus and the purchase of land adjacent to this campus, however, showed a shortfall of $ 1.9 million, leading us to put in place a third major fundraising campaign. Solicitation was initiated in February 2018 and to date *, we can confirm revenues of $1,024,000, including a gift of $50,000, one of $100,000, of $150,000, and an exceptional donation of $350,000, each from private foundations.
All this is made possible through the involvement, sensitivity and generosity of foundations, corporations, employee funds, religious communities, parents, employees and many individuals who share the same vision as we to offer the best programs and educational tools in a learning environment adapted to each student.

The Peter Hall School Foundation was established by Peter Hall School to benefit its students.
The Foundation supports the School’s work by reinforcing various educational initiatives aimed at helping students with intellectual disabilities gain important skills and independence.
The Foundation also supports the School’s pedagogical mission by developing projects and purchasing specialized furniture and equipment (educational, recreational, sports and cultural) needed to help students achieve goals set by personnel.
The Foundation provides the School with real estate, infrastructure or the financial means necessary for the construction, renovation and maintenance of its campuses.
Finally, the Foundation supports all educational actions taken on behalf of all present and former students as well as all of our educational personnel.
The Peter Hall School Foundation: Important Major Campaigns!
The Peter Hall School Foundation has completed two major campaigns to date and a third is underway:
The first, from 2005 to 2009, was intended to allow the acquisition and renovation of the Côte-Vertu campus, that of students aged 12 to 21 years.
The financial goal was $ 1 million and was exceeded to reach $ 1,365,000.
The second, from 2012 to 2017, aimed to expand the Côte-Vertu campus, to carry out interior and exterior landscaping, and to carry out some work at the Ouimet school campus.
The financial goal was $ 2.5M and it was exceeded to reach $ 2,576,555!
A third major fundraising campaign has been in place since spring 2018 and will run until 2021, with a financial target of $ 1.9 million. These funds are needed to fund the purchase of the land adjacent to the Côte-Vertu campus and to offset the significant increase in the cost of expansion related to the second major campaign.
The pandemic resulted in the cancellation of the 19th editions of our two benefit events in 2020: our golf tournament and our Wine and Cheese Evening, resulting in an estimated loss of revenue between $120,000 and $150,000.
This money was to be used to fund two major educational projects: outdoor play and sports modules at the Côte-Vertu campus (re: students aged 13 to 21) and 35 interactive whiteboards on both campuses (re: all students, aged 4 to 21).
The total cost for these two projects is close to $200,000. We have therefore asked our donors and partners at the end of the year to make a donation and we are happy to confirm that we have achieved our goal!
